Hi, I’m Brittany Franco Wilson, MA, LPC, and founder of Franco Wilson Psychotherapy. I work with people who already know a lot about themselves, yet still feel stuck in familiar patterns. Often there’s a sense that what’s needed to feel whole, happy, or loved exists just beyond reach—somewhere outside of yourself.
I’m familiar with that longing for deeper meaning or purpose that feels hard to pin down. Over time, I’ve learned that meaning often emerges through the process of figuring things out. Paradoxically, this has made my goals feel more attainable and less tied to my self-worth. This same perspective shapes how I work with clients who struggle with perfectionism, self-criticism, and the pressure to achieve.
Why Does Who I Am Matter?
I’m not a “blank slate” therapist. I work from a relational Gestalt perspective, which means therapy with me feels like a dialogue between two real humans—each bringing our authentic expressions and experiences into the room. I see my role as a facilitator of your exploration and change process, not an expert with all the answers. My goal is to build a relationship that helps you access your full self, both inside and outside of session.

My Experience
I earned my Master’s in Couples, Marriage, and Family Counseling from Portland State University in 2019. I’ve worked in addictions counseling, practiced as a licensed massage therapist, and spent time as a freelance writer. These experiences deepened my respect for the many ways people seek healing, meaning, and expression.
I value creative exploration and the empowerment that comes from knowing and trusting yourself. When people feel empowered, they form more authentic connections—with themselves, with others, and with the world around them. In this way, individual growth ripples outward, strengthening our communities and culture as a whole.
I work from a relational psychodynamic orientation and am currently training in Gestalt therapy. Existential exploration is also central to my work. I find deep meaning in joining others on their path toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment. I have additional training in attachment theory and executive dysfunction skills development, which help me support clients in both their inner and outer worlds.
My favorite part of the therapy relationship is witnessing a client’s process unfold—the subtle shifts in awareness, the moments of recognition, the courage to experiment with new ways of being.
